@spacanpanman Can you provide some insights into what is the current bottleneck for production? It seems like production right now is even slower than in the summer. I don‘t understand what is preventing them from producing satellites at a faster and more regular pace.
@philliplyle410 I agree. I think we are looking at an mid/late november launch. If they can launch another batch in december, they finish the year with 19BBs. I am still bullish on the long-term outlook, but the company is definitly behind what I considered a conservative scenario a year ago.

@retail_mourinho They need to start executing. The problem is that right now no one believes in their statements because they have lost trust. They overpromise and underdeliever. At this point, start of commercial service will not happen before early 2028 (could be even worse with more delays)
@DefinitionsNew No one knows when production hell will be over. People have been saying that we are near the end of production hell for two years. The truth is that right now there is no end in sight. Production could start ramping up now, but it could also take a couple more years. No one knows
@BurklesDcat@biliousemesis@spacanpanman That's exactly what they're doing right now. They're advertising a 200 Mbps peak figure. So you should address this exact question to the company.
@biliousemesis@spacanpanman Actually, I have been invested in Ast since 2024 and my average price is 15$. I am just growing tired of the company purposefully letting investors tap in the dark or put out misleading claims (like saying they are producing 6 sats a month, but then they only talk about microns)
@BurklesDcat@biliousemesis@spacanpanman The 200 Mbps estimate is peak speed. Peak speed doesn't need millions of users, it's measured on a single link. Only per-user speed under load needs scale. So they could publish actual peak rates for the newer satellites.
@biliousemesis@spacanpanman I don’t really see any news here. They just reiterated previous PR. I am just wondering why the company has not published any test data for BB6 onwards instead of talking about expectations. By now, they should know what the actual peak data rates for the newer satellites are
@spacanpanman How would you value the Ligado spectrum given that it is just a lease and that there is revenue sharing? The 19B USD estimate of Deutsche Bank does not take that into account
