We were in Stratford Park @NewhamLondon with @NHS_ELFT today. Had a great time on the decks and playing the drums…. most people for the first time #talent
My timeline is very depressing at the moment & I cannot fathom the events in England right now. It is heartbreaking.
So I am just reminding myself these wise words
Millions of #women around the world still don't have the right to vote.
Countless #Women died to afford me that right today.
NONE of the racist/sexist men vying for That Seat deserve my X.
But I made one anyway.
Because I'll be damned if they take that away from me too.
It was the narrowness of the debate that was most shocking. A competition in cruelty about refugees & shameful silence on the Climate Crisis, Gaza, & the economic costs of Brexit. Leaving out other parties from debate is bad for democracy. Me on #BBCDebate for @BBCNews 👇
The UK supplies 15% of parts for F-35 jets used in Gaza. This means British parts are in planes bombing children.
The UK Government must immediately suspend arms sales to the Government of Israel and demand an immediate and definitive ceasefire.
#CeasefireNOW
After the catastrophic ground incursion in Rafah, many more displaced families in Gaza have fled to Al Mawasi.
There's very little food or water, and no sanitation.
No child should have to live like this.

If a young person you work with opens up about their mental health, avoid giving uninvited advice. The best thing you can do is listen and support.

Because of the tireless work of our Palestinian team, WCK has served 1 million meals in Gaza since resuming cooking this week. Thanks to their efforts, we’ve provided 46+ million plates of food through hot meals & food kits since first responding to the conflict. #ChefsForGaza
Today, on International Day of the Midwife, we stand in awe of the midwives and health workers who help women give birth safely worldwide. ❤️
24 million women will give birth without the support of a doctor, midwife or health professional this year. 46 women every minute will brave childbirth alone.
Our Ambassador @KlassMyleene travelled to Colombia last week to visit Save the Children’s Maternal Health centre in La Guajira and met mothers who are making desperate, perilous journeys to deliver their babies safely against all odds.
Lasting change starts the moment a child is born, and with your help we can ensure millions of babies get the best possible start in life. No one should have to give birth alone, that’s why we’re asking everyone to #ExpectBetter.

Pregnant women in #Gaza are not receiving the nutrition and healthcare they need.
As soon as there is full and safe humanitarian access, we can scale up our response for expecting mothers, creating lasting change for children from the moment they're born. #StopTheWarOnChildren
Today is #Undiagnosedchildrensday to raise awareness for all the children, young people that have a probable #genetic condition but remain undiagnosed. This can feel very isolating , #SWANUK connects families to help support each other.
Did you know we train midwives all over the world? 🌍
These midwives travel for hours to create lasting change for children the moment they're born. They go where they’re needed most – from war zones and refugee camps, to borders and remote communities: https://t.co/BCfpJPmUAO
When Audrey Hepburn was making her film "Green Mansions", the animal trainer recommended Audrey take home the baby deer so it would learn to follow her on set during the movie (and as needed for her role). Audrey fell in love and napped, shopped, and ate with the doe she named "Pippin" (1958)
Every single child has a right to learn 📚
But children in Gaza are being deprived of a lifetime of educational opportunities.
As soon as there is full humanitarian access and safe conditions, we're ready to set up temporary learning spaces and repair damaged schools.
