Like when you say “hayatımın en güzel anı” you say “aanı”, you keep it elongated. But the base word is “an” it is not “aan”. It is short “a”.

“An” and “anı” are two different words in Turkish and the vowel “a” is short. Yet, when the suffix “ı” is added to “an”, it becomes “an-ı” which completely change the sound of the word itself.
