@ygsheygiu55@D_minion89@mcfcous You could also see that maresca allowed cherki to pop up in multiple positions off the bench against Bournemouth, something he also allowed guehi to do as well
@FutbalTangents The crazy part is, his justification for this is to play Foden, we love Foden but for two years hasn’t given us much so why should the progress of the club be on hold just to help Foden rediscover his form and keep the better player on the bench on an uncertainty
@ItsLB_City@SG_Lockey@raducrisanx In that case what do you think he’s gonna do about cherki when Enzo arrives cause he clearly loves Enzo and then Foden, so what does that mean for Cherki?
I can’t lie his Obsession of certain players isn’t a good look.
@Cityblueprint_ Someone in the room mentioned his wife’s name “Foden”, he’s always so flat about every other player the moment he hears the name “Phil Foden” he starts giggling
@City_Xtra If he keeps benching cherki it’ll only increase pressure on his beloved Phil to deliver and if he doesn’t we know his weak mentality will break him again and then he’ll be back to sulking on the bench, he better find a way to make cherki his main 10 while helping foden get better
@kane_harol58628@ogpinions He played double the minutes cherki did btw, just pointing out the obvious, it wouldn’t be this close if cherki had the same minutes.
I just think Foden struggles with identity crisis when it comes to what he does best
@GeronimoMorgans Rico Lewis is only still here because he’s homegrown and we all know it
Kovacic I don’t understand why he’s still here beyond having older heads after losing a lot
@perfect_mcfc@City_Xtra Because he played further back basically right midfield and his one shot got blocked
Y’all are killing me, I’m sure you’d rather have Grealish start games for us
@EmirCTID Dude you understand context right
Last season he started only 8 games and had 5 goal contributions in the league
This season he’s started 18 and has 6 contributions
While he isn’t perfect I would rather have that knowing he’s bound to improve. Than pay huge money for ndiaye
@NathanBaker110@raducrisanx It’s different because with us we have players who can actually breakdown low blocks
The likes of cherki, Foden, doku, orielly
@EmirCTID Yeah I agree but then Nico is not Rodri, we’ve seen him do better at times in those situations so maybe with more repetition and game time it’ll come second nature to him
