Imagine if girls were introduced to menstruation like this:
“Your body contains one of the most remarkable regenerative systems in nature. Every month, your uterus builds and sheds tissue in a process so complex that scientists continue to study how it works.”
Instead of:
“Here’s a pad. Don’t let anyone see it.”
“Hide it in your sleeve on the way to the bathroom.”
“Don’t talk about it.”
“Don’t let the boys know.”
From the very beginning, many girls are taught embarrassment before understanding.
Silence before education.
Shame before curiosity.
A normal biological process becomes something to hide rather than something to learn about.
What if we taught girls that their bodies are fascinating instead of inconvenient?
What if the first lesson was knowledge instead of secrecy?
The more we understand our bodies, the less power shame has over us.
I’ll choose curiosity every time.
If you hold a gun and I hold a gun, we can talk about the law.
If you hold a knife and I hold a knife, we can talk about rules.
If you come empty handed and I come empty handed, we can talk about reason.
But if you have a gun and I only have a knife, then the truth lies in your hands.
If you have a gun and I have nothing, what you hold isn't just a weapon, it's my life.
The concepts of laws, rules and morality only hold meaning when they are based on equality.
The harsh truth of this world is that when money speaks, truth goes silent.
And when power speaks, even money takes three steps back.
Those who create the rules are often the first to break them.
Rules are chains for the weak, tools for the strong.
In this world, anything good must be fought for.
The masters of the game are fiercely competing for resources while only the weak sit idly, waiting to be given a share.
A young man dies & his friends build a masjid for him (as sadaqah). A young woman dies, and her friends dig a well for her. A third dies and his friends put up water tanks for him, and another one dies and one of her friends give in charity for months on her behalf & yet another
A man’s relationship with Allah tells you so much about the kind of man he is when nobody is watching. You don’t want to be the centre of a man’s world if Allah isn’t at the centre of his heart.
Don’t settle for a man who makes you his first priority while Allah comes second.
You want the man who puts Allah first.
You think Zina only takes from your akhirah.
But look at your life right now.
Your Salah feels heavy. Your du'a feels blocked. Your heart feels restless.
Maybe it's already taking things from your dunya that you never connected to the sin.
