A high-IQ edge defender with production and leadership to match, @JamarcusTanner brings impact ability on and off the field. Recently transferring from Apopka HS, Tanner served as the leader of the Blue Darters’ defense last season — making the calls, adjusting fronts, recognizing shifts, and communicating coverages. His command of the defense and understanding of scheme separates him from most prospects in his class.

On film, Tanner’s get-off is explosive. He times the snap well and consistently stresses offensive tackles with speed off the edge. He plays with twitch, bend, and active hands, allowing him to turn the corner and finish. In just 8 games, he recorded 10+ sacks, constantly living in the backfield and disrupting timing.

At 6’3” 220 pounds with room to continue adding good weight, he possesses the frame and athletic profile that projects well to the next level — whether standing up as a 3-4 OLB or putting his hand in the dirt as a true edge. His motor runs hot, and his combination of size, athleticism, and instincts screams Division I potential.
