@DonaldsonESPN@AroundTheFunnel I could actually live with the Hearts decision listening to what happens. But it’s wild how different the conversation and discussion over Celtic one is. 100% Dallas refereeing that moment. Completely inconsistent in how VAR has been used.
@SPFLWatch@getitinforrest I’d like a 14, split into a top 6 and bottom 8. Play 2 rounds of home and aways. Top 6 would play 36 games, bottom 8 would play 38. Everyone is equal in terms of homes and aways and played the same teams in the same places.
@HMFCFAN07@JohnHen05658077 And if he’d said nah I’m off to Saudi for the cash? He held all the cards last summer, club was a basket case. New manager, they needed to solve the problem and they did. Hopefully used the 12 months to have thought about a replacement
@hthejambo@DMcIver22 Even if it is a free, I’m not convinced the club could have done anything about it. Maybe he had big cash offers from Saudi, and the only way he was staying was with the clause. Effectively the clause bought us 12 months to try and figure out what we need.
@Johni1967@GrahamSpiers Who due to concerns for his players safety agreed to end the match. I’ve no concerns with Celtic winning the league. But would like the reason the game was ended, acknowledged
@UpTheYouKnowWho@GrahamSpiers I’m not clutching at straws. I don’t think the title should be overturned. Celtic won it. Better squad, more points. But I think there is a point to acknowledge how and why the game is ended
@UpTheYouKnowWho@GrahamSpiers “Aye” suggest he’s responding to a question that we don’t hear. 100% he agrees. But what if he didn’t? And next season do we ask managers if they want to end the game, or is it only in the circumstances where fans are on the pitch.
@colinjordan1203@GrahamSpiers Tbh I totally agree. And Celtic won the league on the pitch. But it still sets a precedent where either fans on the pitch or a manager are deciding when a game is ended, not the referee.
@colinjordan1203@GrahamSpiers But there is no circumstance in any other game, where the manager is asked. That’s not how it works. The only reason that circumstance arises is because of the Celtic supporters on the pitch. Which is what the SFA statement fails to acknowledge.
@RSFORC1@GrahamSpiers I’m not clutching at anything 😂 Celtic won the league on the football pitch. But the SFA are missing the point, if the referee is the time keeper and happy he’s played all the allotted time, why is McInnes confirming he’s happy to end the match. He’d just get told.
