I received this great 1992 image from René Fagnan which was captured by Charles Gauthier. My Benetton had just broken down in a a race which looked certain to be my first F1 victory. Ayrton had stopped in the same place. He said to me “bad luck, it hurts doesn’t it?” It did 😢
🚨| James Vowles says "I am the man I am today thanks to Lewis."
Here's his beautiful tribute to Sir Lewis Hamilton as he wishes him well with Ferrari :
"I'd start with this. I am the man I am today thanks to Lewis. He taught me about how you can reinvent yourself every single year. Continuous change, continuous improvement, continuous evolution. Don't accept what you knew six months ago - accept where you want to be in six months' time."
"And he embodies that far more than any other individual I've ever met. He reinvented how he trains, how he looks at videos, how he looks at data, how he works with engineers, how he finds headspace. And that's really hard to do. If you think about what that really means, you're winning multiple world championships and yet you question everything at the end of the year. It led me into the same sort of mindset and I think that's the same. I am the human I am today thanks to him."
"We had some incredible times, both personal and on track and I can only wish him all the very best and success in his future in Ferrari and I think he'll be brilliant."

@CallHerAlaska I didn't even think about that, which is daft because nurses have provided life changing care for my asthma in the past. I'm going to make an appointment. Thank you!!
@CallHerAlaska My doctor told me that perimenopause is a clinical rather than medical diagnosis as hormones fluctuate so much. She sent me for blood tests anyway just in case they showed anything and then dismissed me on the basis of them without even checking when in my cycle the tests fell 👍🏼
⚡️❓When we say ‘Increased accessibility benefits EVERYONE!’ What does that look like?

Someone reminded me of that thread today, so ill tell you something.
I live in Finland now. Some time ago I left my job hoping to get another one. It didn't worked out and I became unemployed.
(A secondary thread).
When you say sorry to a stranger at Aldi and they tell you you need a shot of confidence. And you grit and smile because politeness is the only thing you have keeping you civil today.
Funny story.
I had a car accident in 2008. Some driver rear ended me when I stopped at the red light.
I got no help whatsoever, because it happened 2 weeks *before* my 24 months of continuous residence in the UK was completed.
