"Today, federal agents executed a judicially authorized search warrant at Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's home as part of an ongoing investigation.

Rather than issue our own statement, we'll defer to Rep. Omar. She said it best back in 2023, when the subject of a criminal investigation was someone else:

'Our democracy rests on the rule of law. When someone—no matter how powerful they are—is suspected of a criminal act, our justice system investigates, charges, and convicts them in accordance with due process.'

'Now it is up to all of us, as citizens and elected leaders, to support accountability and to follow the facts where they lead.'
'No one is above the law.'

BREAKING: Federal agents raid Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar's Washington, D.C., home early Monday morning as part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation.

Homeland Security Investigations agents arrived around 6 a.m., with both DHS and the Justice Department involved in the operation.

The DOJ confirms agents executed a judicially authorized search warrant, but officials have not publicly disclosed the full scope of the investigation.

I agree with Sydney Colson. Racism should never be tolerated under any circumstances. My issue is that criticism of someone’s basketball game isn’t automatically racism. Calling someone a ball hog, pointing out missed layups, saying you wish they weren’t on your team, or saying that foul is on you and pointing 15 feet away from you, is basketball criticism . Just because you’re upset or don’t like what someone says doesn’t mean you should stretch the definition of racism to fit the situation.

And let’s not ignore this: Not one person at Gainbridge Fieldhouse was removed for allegedly using a racial slur! If we’re going to call out racism, let’s be consistent and distinguish actual racism from criticism we simply don’t like.
