Surely a middle path exists between techno-soteriology and the sort of traditionalism that leads to third worldism and seeks once more to enmire western man in the bog of abrahamic superstition?
I accept the process of cyborgisation as an inevitable consequence of techne itself - but I maintain that it is human to seek to govern and control this process which is not inexorably set on a specific route to AGI or the singularity etc.
The gods made man but intervene from time to time in the way their creation develops (see Odin’s eugenic meddling in Volsunga saga).
So we shape tools and how we use them even as the tools change us. We remain an active agent like the god who made us.
Do not even consider realities that you do not want to happen. Only commit your powerful creative mental thought energy to circumstances, potentials, and events that you want to happen in your life. Ignore everything else. This is the secret.

"I was not involved in the September 11 attacks in the United States nor did I have knowledge of the attacks. There exists a government within a government within the United States. The United States should try to trace the perpetrators of these attacks within itself; to the people who want to make the present century a century of conflict between Islam and Christianity. That secret government must be asked as to who carried out the attacks. ... The American system is totally in control of the jews, whose first priority is Israel, not the United States."

Jung argued in his 1936 essay 'Wotan' for Swiss journal Neue Schweizer Rundschau, that the German nation was seized by an ancient, dormant archetype of the god Wotan (Odin).
However, in his autobiography, he reveals that he did not merely view Wotan as a psychological archetype but as a real god active as a psychopomp. He experienced a theophany when his mother died:
"The night before (my Mother's) death I had a frightening dream. I was in a dense gloomy forest...Suddenly I heard a piercing whistle that seemed to resound through the whole universe. My knees shook. Then there were crashings in the under-brush, and a gigantic wolfhound with a fearful, gaping maw burst forth. At the sight of it, the blood froze in my veins. It tore past me, and I suddenly knew: the Wild Huntsman had commanded it to carry away a human soul. I awoke in deadly terror, and the next morning I received the news of my Mother's passing.
....It was Wotan, the god of my Alemannic forefathers, who had gathered my mother to her ancestors - negatively to the "wild horde," but positively to the "salig lut," the blessed folk. It was the Christian missionaries who made Wotan into a devil. In himself he is an important god - A Mercury of Hermes, as the Romans correctly realised, a nature spirit who returned to life again in the Merlin of the Grail legend and became, as the spiritus Mercurialis, the sought after arcanum of the alchemists."
“Everything that has come to predominate in the modern world is the exact antithesis of any traditional type of civilization. Moreover, the circumstances make it increasingly unlikely that anyone, starting from the values of Tradition (even assuming that one could still identify and adopt them), could take actions or reactions of a certain efficacy that would provoke any real change in the current state of affairs.
After the last worldwide upheavals, there seems to be no starting point either for nations or for the vast majority of individuals—nothing in the institutions and general state of society, nor in the predominant ideas, interests, and energies of this epoch.
Nevertheless, a few men exist who are, so to speak, still on their feet among the ruins and the dissolution, and who belong, more or less consciously, to that other world. A little group seems willing to fight on, even in lost positions…
But this does not resolve the practical, personal problem—apart from the case of the man who is blessed with the opportunity for material isolation—of those who cannot or will not burn their bridges with current life, and who must therefore decide how to conduct their existence, even on the level of the most elementary reactions and human relations.
This is precisely the type of man that the present book has in mind. To him applies the saying of a great precursor: ‘The desert encroaches. Woe to him whose desert is within!’ He can in truth find no further support from without. There no longer exist the organizations and institutions that, in a traditional civilization and society, would have allowed him to realize himself wholly, to order his own existence in a clear and unambiguous way, and to defend and apply creatively in his own environment the principal values that he recognizes within himself…”
