I really do worry people have forgotten what Covid-19 was like for NHS staff. I went onto ICU wards and saw it myself. I spoke to staff broken by relentless death.
@Kevin_Fong testimony @covidinquiryuk needs to be heard:

@GDPUKcom Is the suggestion here that 2/3 of the population should be privately insured? Good policy from a country with no public coverage for dentistry but doesn’t provide much in the way of lessons for UK funding
Looking forward to sharing our research and achievements of the Healthy Smiles project at the @fdiworlddental Congress.
We have delivered the first school-based oral hygiene 🪥 and handwashing 🤚🏻 program for #Rohingya#refugee children in Bangladesh.

What happened when MIT stopped paying Elsevier? Not much except they are saving a lot of money. "MIT is interested in collaborating with other libraries to reinvest these funds in community-controlled open publishing initiatives..." https://t.co/tvlklOUhbx
I would love to connect with others working/researching/thinking about health financing, health economics, causal inference and dental commissioning and contracting! Also for any PhD tips you might have!
Really proud to have graduated from the MSc Economics of Public Policy at @bse_barcelona earlier in the summer! A really challenging year that would have been impossible without all the support from the amazing people below through seemingly endless problem sets and projects.
V excited to put the skills into action when I start an @NIHRSPCR PhD Programme for Primary Care Clinicians with @HOPE_UoM, where I’ll be evaluating NHS financing reforms for dental care across the UK, and what these can offer NHS dental policy beyond simply UDA vs Capitation.
End of the year is approaching @bse_barcelona. Yesterday we had a wonderful day listening to the master theses final presentations for the Economic of Public Policy master program with @AdaFerreriCarbo and @farre_lidia! Congrats to all students, who did a great job!!
New in HSR: "Requiem for Odds Ratios" with Bryan Dowd, Melissa Garrido, and Matt Maciejewski. https://t.co/7a2k66DeDO
We commend HSR for discouraging the reporting of odds ratios in most studies. We agree wholeheartedly
with this decision, which keeps HSR at the forefront.
