Jesus didn’t teach today’s “biblical” Christianity. The early followers of Christ wouldn’t recognize today’s “organized” religion.

Jesus himself condemned organized religion and told the woman at the well the day would come when those who worshipped would worship in “spirit” and “truth”.

I don’t think we are there yet.

Living in the Spirit

It is sometimes difficult to maintain perspective and live a life with a spiritual focus in this physical world for those who know Christ. How do we live "IN" this world and not be "OF" this world. Christ showed us the way. Do not be caught up in the temporary physical desires of this world as if you have not been called by God to experience those eternal truths which he has revealed to us. If we belong to Christ , the desires of our hearts should be his desires. Not physical wealth or status and prestige among others, instead seek peace, sow love, demonstrate God's love through your time and sacrifice to encourage and build up others. In love, correct and guide those the father has placed in your life to Shephard. In all that you do recognize that it is not by your power you do these things for the man who lives according to this world cannot in the flesh truly love, it is Christ working in you a vessel prepared for his use to do the fathers will. So think first and foremost on spiritual things so that Christ might through you introduce the father in all his glory to those in this fallen world that do not yet know him and are waiting for someone to make the introduction!
