Polling in no way shows that it was the perception of the economy and not the actual economy that led people to vote for Trump. That is false.

Yes, a majority of white people voted for him. So did 1 in 3 voters of color. Donald Trump won with the most diverse, working-class coalition of any Republican candidate in our lifetimes.

That should be the Democratic coalition. Our agenda is better for working-class voters of all races. And our focus should be figuring out how to win back a multi-racial, working-class coalition that doesn't exclude anyone - or we will not hold power again, and we will not be able to improve the lives of the people we profess to care about.
