@RupertLowe10 So let’s say a non-English speaking person turns up in a hospital requiring urgent treatment.
They have no family nearby and can’t afford an interpreter.
What should the medical staff do?
@DaveRichards200@Suewilson91 I understand it perfectly, which is why I know how so many professionals are being fucked over. Leaving the EU is fine, destroying people’s livelihoods is not (and did not need to happen)
@DaveRichards200@Suewilson91 It’s not just “a visa”, it’s a work permit application for EVERY INDIVIDUAL COUNTRY artists want to work in. Each country has its own requirements. Artists who gig in Europe need to be able to just turn up and work (as they could in all 27 member states before free mvmt stopped.
@Suewilson91 Pilots who spent £100k plus to get EASA licences to fly aircraft registered in all EU countries now have a licence valid in only one country ! Same with Engineers
Why should Artists have preferential treatment ? We need a form of FOM and licence acceptance
