Bert Askou’s Motherwell: new club clean-sheet record, fourth-highest points tally in three-points-for-win era, fewest league defeats in top-flight season since 1959, and fewest goals conceded in top-flight season since 1932. All while playing the best fitba their fans have seen.
@_DIGB@__YC9__ I wish football didnt play such a large role in my life, i’ve had about four tims come up to me at work not even saying anything and just laughing at me. Dreadful Monday.

Motherwell fans, can you believe what you’re watching?
I’m 69 and a fan since 1962, but I suppose I could say it’s only since I was in my late teens that I was in a position to judge the style of football played by a Motherwell squad.
This is the best Motherwell football I’ve seen from any team wearing claret and amber.
At many games this season I’ve applauded passing moves out from defence that have me shaking my head in disbelief.
Fast attacking, intricate moves that are now resulting in goals.
Players closing down opponents in numbers, winning the ball back and holding it until the time is right to attack.
No “lump it up the park”.
To be in the fourth week of January and having lost only three League games is beyond belief for most Motherwell fans.
Remember the criticism that Calum Ward had received early in the season?
He hasn’t conceded a goal in the last seven League games.
The team; twelve clean sheets, one defeat in the last 15 League games, goal difference +18.
Every Motherwell fan should sit down and savour every second because they’re watching the best football since the Ancell Babes and maybe the best they’ll ever watch in their lifetime.
Is it too much of an exaggeration to suggest that Jens is a football genius?
His staff and the players deserve the highest praise, from the brutal performance against Clyde in the Premier Sports Cup in August to now be playing like Manchester City at their peak.

Motherwell: Dominating Without the Ball
A lot of praise has rightly went to Motherwell & Jens Berthel Askou for their work "With the Ball" but last night was a clinic on how to control a game "Without the Ball".
Hibs Analysis
> Wing-Backs High & Wide to Deliver
> Hanley "Limited" Distribution Quality
> Barlaser Key in Building Through Lines
Motherwell Press:
> Leave Hanley Spare
> Front 2 Pressing Outside CB's
> Just Blocking Barlaser
> Triggers to Jump on Hanley After Bushiri Pass inside
> Frustrates Wing-Backs to Drop Deeper & Deeper
Just Intelligence & Scanning
Elijah Just is one of the signings of the season, he has absolutely everything but last night his intelligence and technical ability without the ball was exceptional:
> Regularity of Scanning for Barlaser
> Blocks Barlaser & Creates Chances to Jump
> Wins Penalty & Scores off the Back of that work
Work-Rate When Broken
Albeit happened only once in the 30mins the game was 11v11, it helps when players work-rate is at such a high intensity when Hibs did break through, Motherwell got back behind the ball & forced an error.
Best Coached Side in the Country Currently 👌
🇸🇪⭐️ | Not enough is being said about 𝐋𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐥 (𝟏𝟖)'s great season.

@MotherwellFC Saved us the season hammell was in charge. Defeated Rangers at Ibrox for the first time in 22 years. Took us to a semi final again. In the end, his system was a tough watch and ultimately lost the fans from his own words. All the best SK
