There is a delay to racing at Haydock after Friendly Soul took a false step in the first race. Following an inspection the outer track, which was being used, has been deemed unsafe. An inspection is taking place to see if racing can continue on the inside track
🔵⚪️ - Shadwell can confirm that #RAAHEEB will not run in the Betfred Derby on 6th June and will instead be readied for important targets later in the summer.
🗣️ Angus Gold, Shadwell Racing Manager, “I have had a long discussion with Owen Burrows regarding Raaheeb’s participation in the Derby after his impressive victory at Sandown last week.”
“Owen said that the horse had been stiff for a couple of days following the race, but whilst routine x-rays have revealed nothing untoward, he will have to give the horse a bit more time to get over the race before he goes back into full training. Consequently, Owen feels he will not be able to have him in peak condition for the Derby; therefore, sadly, the decision has been made to bypass Epsom and give Raaheeb the time he needs, and we hope to have him ready for important targets later this summer.”
Introducing Kingsdown Stables.
A new chapter begins as we re-brand from Ed Walker Racing to Kingsdown Stables, inspired by our home in Lambourn.
We are also delighted to welcome James Hambro & Partners as our new sponsor ahead of a hugely exciting season.
#KingsdownStables
Well… what a remarkable first season.
20 winners — an extraordinary achievement.
Our sincere thanks to everyone who has supported us —
To our owners, we are deeply grateful for your trust. And to the team at Felstead Court — none of this would have been possible without your dedication and hard work.
Great day with @Hambofoundation. Much more enjoyable than I thought it would be but I won’t be doing another one! Thankyou for all the kind donations to the Matt Hampson Foundation #londonmarathon

Nicky Henderson on CONSTITUTION HILL:
"We’ve just got to see how the ground is, that’s the important thing really. I’ll probably head over there on Wednesday and see what it’s like. It’s obviously a big concern, but I’ll probably have a pop round with George Hill [Newbury clerk of the course]."
