This is the 3rd iteration of the retreat and it has become stronger each year!
@DrJanet_A_Ward @Wonkhe Yes, absolutely agree. Thats why we are keen the students get to know who is doing what kind of research up front. Ideally, students become fully engaged in the research process, and get to know the staff who can help them fulfil the project’s potential.
Join us at the Family Business Research Conference 2024 on 20th May!

Not always one for national cheerleading, but one thing I love about Scotland is that our national day is in honour of a poet!
Happy Burns night! Slàinte Mhath
Time for a few drams to the soundtrack of Belle & Sebastian.
The pic on the right is of a wild haggis, by the way.

Had a great time as Visiting Professor at @ESCClermont last week. An intense week with the Bachelors students! Great discussions on social and ethical business from a very talented cohort.
Back to a cold and rainy Aberdeen for Christmas preparations now!
A great @_isbe conference for the family business track this year!!! LOVED the conversations. And thank you to the Enterprise Education track for allowing me to interlope with my own paper!!
Hugely successful Family and Community Business track at @_ISBE over the past few days. 13 great quality papers and enthusiastic discussion as we build more critical perspectives of family business. Thank you to everyone who came alone, and to our fantastic authors!!!
A great way to close the academic year!
Delighted to have organised this retreat with the terrific @EmilyFBeaumont and a massive thanks to @SiscottFraser for guiding some very productive discussions.
Look out for it becoming a regular event in the @isbefambiz calendar!
Just a terrific couple of days at Edgbaston for the ISBE and EEUK Writing Retreat! Uninterrupted focus for writing, inspiring company to provide review and encouragement, and a relaxing venue.
