This is the background to some of the financial pressure in UK universities. There is a global market - the UK competitors will simply take more ££ from foreign students- who will go to Australia, US, Canada

New migration statistics out today show a 19% fall in visas granted to foreign students in the year to September. Since January new visa restrictions visas for their dependents down 84%. Overall in 2024 Jan - Sept 16% fewer visa applications from foreign students
