Either the homes are being bought by owner-occupiers, which is a good thing.

Or they are being bought by other landlords, in which case there is no reduction in supply.

@RobertJenrick What Jenrick means is there in no minimum time for a Commonwealth citizen to be resident in the UK before they are eligible to vote. They can register on the day they arrive but it takes 12 working days to register (for both British and Commonwealth citizens).
