Following an investigation by the Detroit Police Department (DPD), the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has charged Ronnie Grable III, Maurice Harris and Jalen Able have been charged in connection with the homicides of two men.

Synopsis:
The Detroit Police Department (DPD) contacted the Detroit Regional Communication Center requesting assistance with a homicide investigation that just occurred.

DPD was requesting a canvas of EB I-94 near Van Dyke for a vehicle used in a homicide less than one hour earlier. They were tracking items left in the suspect vehicle.

Troopers located the suspect vehicle a short time later traveling west on I-94 near Haggerty Rd.  A traffic stop was attempted but the suspect failed to stop and began to accelerate away initiating a pursuit.

The pursuit continued west on I-94 into Washtenaw County. The suspect vehicle exited I-94 at Ann Arbor Saline Rd.
While on Ann Arbor Saline Rd., the homicide suspect attempted to conduct a U-turn to head south. Troopers took advantage of the reduced speeds and were able to successfully box-in the suspect vehicle, bringing it to a stop.

The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. Two MSP patrol cars were damaged as a result of this incident. The 38 year old male suspect from Warren was cleared medically on scene and turned over to Detroit Police Homicide for their investigation.

“As we often see crime does not recognize city and county borders,” said F/Lt. Mike Shaw. “This was just another of many examples of teamwork between MSP and local police to keep Michiganders safe.”
