Putin wanted to show “strength” but only confirmed his weakness.
Overnight, Russia carried out one of the largest terrorist attacks on Kyiv with around 600 drones, many dozens of ballistic, air-ballistic, and cruise missiles, and a dummy IRBM.
Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, and Zhytomyr regions were also under attack.
As of now, at least two civilian people have been reported killed and many dozens injured. These numbers may grow. Many residential buildings have been damaged.
Unable to achieve any results on the battlefield, Putin turns to terror against civilians.
This strike was probably meant to demonstrate “strength” to the domestic audience, but instead it only confirms Putin’s weakness. Even Russians see that he is a loser.
His “special operation” is not achieving any results. Losses are enormous, but there is not a single achieved goal. Except that there are no safe places in Russia any more, as Ukraine ramps up its special long-range sanctions.
To our allies, I want to say this: it is time to double down, not back down, in supporting Ukraine and increasing pressure on the Russian regime.
We call for additional defense capabilities, including to protect our sky; investment in our defense industry; increased pressure on Russia, including entry ban for Russian combatants, full use of frozen assets; strong political decisions with regard to Ukraine’s EU accession and other steps.
The world has the leverage. It needs to be used right — to show Moscow that such strikes will not bring any results — and force Russia to end this war.
@kieran_kigr Do you always give lepto booster after AI. I’m just wondering cause I’ve given them the first shot four weeks ago and there at day 17 since first bred.
President Zelenskyy responds to JD Vance, who called ending aid to Ukraine “one of the proudest” achievements of the Trump administration:
“If the Vice President is proud that he is not helping us, it means that he is helping Russians,” Zelensky told Newsmax.
Vance says that stopping funding for Ukraine is one of his proudest achievements in this administration.
I’m watching this stunningly cruel speech from Ukraine, as Russia continues to kills us every day. Just today, they killed 8-year-old boy in Cherkasy and five people in Dnipro. Dozens more were injured.
The military assistance you are so proud of stopping was used to save lives in a war Russia started and continues every day by choice, in a war that only became possible after USA pressured Ukraine into disarming...
I do not know if Vance can fully comprehend the scale of the tragedy unfolding here: a brutal, illegal war of extermination by Russia, and the slow abandonment by our allies. There is nothing to be proud of. Absolutely nothing.
We cannot simply speak about withdrawing from Donbas as a matter of compromise. Our withdrawal from Donbas would open up opportunities for the Russian Federation to occupy our most fortified territories without losses.
Some people say it would take a year to a year and a half to build new fortifications. But everyone forgets: first and foremost, that is a year and a half. And even if it were less, fortifications in an open field are a completely different matter from those in urban areas. They can never provide equally strong protection.
A withdrawal would give the Russian Federation room for large-scale maneuver. They could advance either toward Kharkiv or toward Dnipro, destroying our cities. And two major cities would be at risk – cities that, incidentally, generate a significant share of our GDP.
So many people have died there… The morale of our army would certainly decline. There would undoubtedly be a rift in society. The army – which would surely not support such steps – on one side, and society on the other. And division within society is precisely what Putin is aiming for.
Moreover, there are currently 200,000 people living in the territories of Donbas that we are defending. Withdrawal does not mean preserving anything. You leave, and without any guarantees, you risk losing everything. And that is a major risk.

Wishing the Irish in Ireland and around the world a Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
Ukraine deeply appreciates Ireland’s significant support at the political, economic, and humanitarian level, as well as the shelter your country has given to thousands of Ukrainians.
May peace and plenty bless your world
With a joy that long endures
And may all life’s passing seasons
Bring the best to you and yours.
Putin has never wanted to stop Russia's war against Ukraine. He has been afraid of President Trump and of pressure from the United States. That's why he has played this game, pretending he has wanted negotiations. I keep believing that America has to increase pressure on Putin. Otherwise, he will not negotiate in good faith. He only wants to put forward ultimatums to Ukraine, as his demand to withdraw from our territory. But this will not satiate his appetite.
The situation around Iran brings him more money. The easing of sanctions imposed on Russia is also helpful for him. Our intelligence reports that due to all the sanctions imposed by the United States and the EU, and because of our deep strikes on Russian energy infrastructure, Russia faced a deficit of more than $100 billion in 2026 alone.
Now we see they have made around 10 billion over two weeks of the war in the Middle East. This is really dangerous. It gives Putin more confidence that he can continue the war.

Russia prepared a big offensive operation which they wanted to launch at the end of last year and continue this spring. We conducted our own counteroffensive actions in turn to prevent Russia from attacking us on a large scale.
It was a success, not only because of the land, but also because of our people, as well as preventing a major Russian offensive. All of this was made possible largely thanks to our drone technology. Russia started losing 30,000–35,000 troops per month because of drones – FPVs and other types of drones.

Wild Hornets Statement Regarding Export Negotiations
Ukrainian defense company Wild Hornets, the manufacturer of the highly successful STING interceptor drone used against Shahed-type UAVs, states that it is not currently engaged in export negotiations with any country or company from the Persian Gulf region.
Recent reporting by The Wall Street Journal, citing anonymous sources, suggested that Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest oil company, is in negotiations with Wild Hornets regarding the purchase of interceptor drones to protect oil facilities from Iranian UAV attacks.
This information does not reflect the current position or activities of our company.
Wild Hornets regularly receives inquiries from representatives of countries across the Middle East and the European Union regarding potential exports of the STING interceptor system, which has proven highly effective against Shahed-type drones in real combat conditions.
However, our priority remains the defense of Ukraine.
At this stage, our production and operational efforts are fully focused on supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
The Government of Ukraine is currently engaged in discussions with international partners regarding operator training and the potential supply of interceptor drones within broader security cooperation frameworks. Should such initiatives require industrial participation, Wild Hornets is prepared to contribute accordingly.
However, the company itself is not conducting any direct negotiations regarding exports.
Wild Hornets remains interested in entering international markets in the future. Any such steps will be considered only after the operational needs of Ukraine’s Defense Forces are fully met, and after appropriate export permissions and regulatory mechanisms for Ukrainian defense technologies are established in accordance with national legislation.
If the United States and Europe are strong, if they don’t buy Russian oil and gas, if people stand by the principles they declare, and if pressure on Russia is strong and clear – if all these things work properly, the war will end as quickly as possible.
Otherwise, it will last longer than we estimate. Normal people really want it to end tomorrow – or yesterday, as we say. But no matter what, Russia doesn’t have enough power to occupy us. It simply doesn’t.
From an interview with Gordon Repinski (2/2).
Europe, the United States, and the entire civilized world imposed sanctions on Russia for its aggression. In my view, if these sanctions are lifted, it means we are recognizing the legitimacy of this aggression – that is, one or another state is forgiving Russia for this crime. Of course, as the President of a country that is a victim in this war, and as someone who fundamentally understands that aggression cannot go unpunished, I consider this absolutely unjust.
From a media briefing ahead of the meeting with the President of the German Bundestag, Julia Klöckner (2/3)
Our team is now on its way to the Gulf region, where they can help protect lives and stabilize the situation. We see the challenges that exist now: the Iranian regime has effectively blocked the Strait of Hormuz – one of the main routes for supplying oil and gas to the global market. This is a major source of instability. No one in the world can yet say how long all of this will last, but it is important that the protection of life starts working effectively as soon as possible. Stability is important for us as well.
Those now seeking Ukraine’s help must continue to assist our own defense – first and foremost, our air defense. Last year we already proposed a drone agreement to the United States. This is the right way forward: to partner with us in the production and use of drones, and everyone now sees that there is no alternative to this approach. Ukraine has the greatest experience in the world in countering attack drones, and without our experience it will be very difficult for the Gulf region, the entire Middle East, and partners in Europe and America to build strong protection.
I’d say unbelievable, but I haven’t been in a coma for the past 10 years. Whenever there’s a crisis, Trump calls Putin and comes out reciting the Kremlin line and singing Putin's praises. Trump is Putin's creature and the GOP is complicit.
Over the past week, Russia has attacked our country thousands of times – the enemy used nearly 1,750 attack drones, 1,530 guided aerial bombs, and 39 missiles against our people. Civilian infrastructure came under attack – energy facilities and residential buildings. Our warriors manage to neutralize most of the targets. But more protection is needed, and it is needed every day.
First and foremost, these are air defense missiles, and therefore contributions and deliveries within the PURL initiative are key – and I thank everyone who continues their support. Sanctions against Russia and its accomplices must be tightened further. Everything that helps the Russian Federation finance and continue this war must be blocked. Today there will be negotiations with European partners on each of these elements. Thank you to everyone who helps Ukraine.
The war in the Middle East continues and chaos is spreading. Oil prices are going up. Washington may lift sanctions on Russian oil. Who is the real winner here?
Dear @SecScottBessent: Conservative and mainstream outlets have confirmed that Russia is giving intelligence info to Iran that helps Iran target American forces.
Reverse your decision to lift oil sanctions on Russia. It is traitorous conduct for you to help Russia.
