BREAKING: Donald Trump throws a desperate Hail Mary pass to save himself by formally demanding that renowned U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan recuse herself from his 2020 election case.

The shady attorneys working for the indicted ex-president cited statements that Chutkan made while sentencing previous January 6th defendants as supposed "proof" that she's biased. In truth, her remarks only demonstrate that she respects and upholds the law.

"Judge Chutkan has, in connection with other cases, suggested that President Trump should be prosecuted and imprisoned," wrote Trump's attorneys.

Obviously, they refused to admit that their client should be prosecuted and imprisoned for trying to illegally overthrow American democracy. Anyone who understands the law would agree.

"Such statements, made before this case began and without due process, are inherently disqualifying," they went on. "Although Judge Chutkan may genuinely intend to give President Trump a fair trial—and may believe that she can do so—her public statements unavoidably taint these proceedings, regardless of outcome."

These outrageous complaints could perhaps be given more credence if Trump hadn't already spent the past few months constantly attacking every judge assigned to one of his numerous cases. This is his only strategy.

Trump and his lawyers can't win their cases on merit so they resort to smears and screeching complaints. None of it will save them.

Judge Chutkan should not recuse herself.

She should deliver justice.

BREAKING: A Vietnam veteran constituent of Rep. Lauren Boebert pens a letter torching her for introducing a disgusting bill to make the AR-15 the "National Gun" of America — a perverse idea given the fact that it's the weapon of choice for mass shooters.

The constituent, Andy Wiessner, calls the legislation a "cruel joke" and slams Boebert for trying to glorify a "weapon of war" whose bullets are "designed to tear human flesh to pieces."

"I am a Vietnam War vet, and the M-16s we carried there were an offshoot of the AR-15," writes Wiessner. "The Army always told us it was the best rifle in the world because of how efficiently it killed ‘the enemy."

He goes on to decry that we see "almost nightly on TV" that the AR-15 has "shredded the bodies of innumerable men, women, schoolchildren, and even babies."

Of course, gun-fetishizing psychopaths like Lauren Boebert don't care about the bloodshed. They care about NRA money and courting the votes of other gun nuts.

BREAKING: Republican Liz Cheney releases a BRUTAL attack ad against Donald Trump, calling him a "a risk America can never take again" in a video that is sure to infuriate the disgraced former president.

She points out that he is the "only president in American history" to refuse the "peaceful transition of power" and he "betrayed millions of Americans" by spreading the Big Lie after Joe Biden defeated him in 2020.

He watched on television as his Capitol insurrection unfolded and refused to take action to call off his supporters.

"There has never been a greater dereliction of duty by any president," says Cheney.

BREAKING: Mitch McConnell responds like a complete coward when asked if he accepts as "legitimate" the E. Jean Carroll verdict that found Donald Trump "liable for sexual abuse and defamation."

"That'll all be settled in primaries next year," said Mitch, making it clear that he doesn't care about stopping sexual predators — he only cares about power.

BREAKING: Eric Trump has a humiliating meltdown after MSNBC host Rachel Maddow correctly points out that he and his wife Lara are speaking at an event in Miami this weekend with known anti-semites.

Eric raged that Maddow is "walking a fine line" and if "she or anyone else" dares to "even remotely" suggest that he is "anti-semitic" he will "take legal action against them personally.

Of course, Eric cannot actually take meaningful legal action against Maddow because she's simply telling the truth. He's flailing around like a child.
