@themattrd Hahahahahahaha, sounds to me like JTA has been a bigger benefit to Motherwell than Hearts so far then ๐
The point on the manager is ๐ญ, it's okay though, because he helped Rangers not really win anything and worked with Shelley Kerr ๐ฉ (I will give him a fair chance, I swear)
Hearts have appointed their new head coach to replace Eva Olid. Jury is very much out for me on this one. Will see how he gets on.

Grimshaw speaks well about the Israel games but I'll say it more plainly. It's a disgrace that Scotland & Ireland have been put in this position by a spineless UEFA & their useless governing bodies. A country actively committing genocide should be banned.

Any hopes of a last-minute u-turn are well and truly over. A sad day but ultimately Eva goes out on a massive high having delivered the club's first major trophy.
Serious questions need to be asked to the club now though about their level of commitment and investment in the team.
Two very dodgy penalties helped hand Celtic yet another title.
Motherwell lose the best manager they'd had in ages.
Rangers poach Hearts' captain for free, again not paying a transfer fee to another Scottish club.
Why would anyone ever get invested in the SPL? ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ
Sadly I won't be at Meadowbank today as I went to Oslo to scout next season's potential opponent when we reach the Champions League final ๐
Will be watching Hearts from the middle of a Fjord somewhere though. Good luck girls.
The way Leicester played in this playoff game and then this penalty shoot out really emphasises what a missed opportunity this entire season has been for Newcastle United. With a half decent level of investment they could already be in the WSL now.
@mikey32132@HeartsStandard_ Yep. Thanks for flagging, and thanks for reading. I corrected it last night but sent off the wrong draft ๐ซฃ Has been fixed now.
@themattrd Haha, savage. I agree it's poor that it was at Oriam, but then for Eva Olid's last home game maybe its appropriate, since she played 99.9% of her home matches there. They were maybe hoping there would be a parade happening around Tynecastle (which is also poor planning)
It's great to see Ann Budge in attendance at Oriam today. She deserves so much praise for where the women's team is today.
All the board are there really, though the men are mostly on phones, Shelley Kerr is there too and I really hope that doesn't mean what I worry it might...
Hearts Women will look to clinch the SWPL title when they face Hibs next weekend.
A draw with Glasgow City, coupled with Rangers defeating Celtic, means Eva Olid's side take a two-point lead into the final day.
@JamesKeep reflects on final home game
๐ https://t.co/ivNoIKpytt
Guys, Eva Olid has now picked the same Hearts starting 11 for back to back games. This is unprecedented.
It's the first time it has happened this season and I genuinely can't remember another time this has happened ๐คฏ
So, Hearts men may have been screwed out of the SPL title, but Hearts Women have a chance to win the SWPL title today and, good news, the SFA couldn't care less about womens football so there will be no shenanigans.
(I say SOME of this In jest)
@themattrd Yeah she's technical director for the mens side and has a coaching role with the (soon to be/now disbanded) B-team. I don't actually think she'd want the job but you also know she'd back herself as the best person to help them do well in Europe next year ๐ซฃ
UEFA have unique ranges for each of the three men's cup finals this month.
Guess what happens when you search for @UWCL merch? Yep, absolutely nothing. @UEFA you have to do better than this. @UEFAcom
If you left me in a room and told me I couldn't leave until I had voted for either Kemi Badenoch, Wes Streeting or Nigel Farage, I would just sit there not marking the paper until I died of starvation.
That's where politics is at right now. Not an inspiring leader in sight.
@themattrd Y'know, I was chatting to Celtic fans after the game in Sunday and they have WILDLY different views of those two managers.
As long as it's not Shelley Kerr I'm happy.
