Any hopes of a last-minute u-turn are well and truly over. A sad day but ultimately Eva goes out on a massive high having delivered the club's first major trophy.
Serious questions need to be asked to the club now though about their level of commitment and investment in the team.

The way Leicester played in this playoff game and then this penalty shoot out really emphasises what a missed opportunity this entire season has been for Newcastle United. With a half decent level of investment they could already be in the WSL now.
