Author of FIVE DECEMBERS (Hard Case Crime, 2021). Not my first rodeo.

I'm going to remember the best parts of the last 365 days, and I'm going to take all the rest and bury it in a deep, dark hole that no therapist will ever find.
@JoyceCarolOates Yes, this is a scam. I just got one with the official seal of Hawaii (where I live) ordering me to appear at the Municipal Traffic Court of St Louis County in Missouri, because someone’s AI sucks or he did a crappy cut and paste job.
Publisher: So you've given us a book about a big friendly giant, one about an enormous crocodile, and another where a granny grows as big as a house. What's new?
Roald Dahl: There's this peach...
Publisher: Is it -
Roald Dahl: It's fucking huge
Five Decembers was a bestseller in Germany again so I went full German for our Easter lunch. I made Jaegerschnitzel, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, red cabbage salad, and homemade pickles.
I had some calluses on my feet and my plan was to sit down and rub them with this rock I found outside. My wife caught me in the act and broke out her full kit of Yangzhou foot care products and now I’m at the foot spa.

If you haven't read other work by #EdgarAward winner @JamesKestrel, I highly recommend it. I just finished *The Dark Room*—written under his other name, Jonathan Moore. It was a perfectly crafted #noir#thriller that kept me up late turning pages. #books#writing
My kids are nine and seven and I’ve been making complex breakfasts for them for years. Misoyaki salmon, eggs Benedict, crab cakes. Today I discovered they eat cereal. How did I not think of that years ago?
I finished reading *The Night Market* by Jonathan Moore, aka @JamesKestrel. It was the third of his books I've read, and it definitely goes into my "would recommend to a friend" pile. Great near-future #noir#detective fiction. Thumbs up Jon.
P.S. Do you write by hand then?
@JoyceCarolOates Yes, I would like to make a realistic John Wick movie, where John Wick gets killed in the first five seconds and the end credits roll.
I finished reading "The Poison Artist" this morning, by Jonathan Moore (aka. the Hugo Award winning @JamesKestrel) - It was a classy, page-turning drip chamber of mystery, longing, darkness...and absinthe.
