Without interventions, floods may cause the the US coastal housing market to crash while the NFIP amasses debts. New study with @SandeepPoudel_ and @RebsFE from @UConnCAHNR

Excited to share a new study w/ @JamesKnighton10@RebsFE Zbigniew Grabowski & Richard Anyah published in @CommsEarth! We projected how future flooding will impact the National Flood Insurance Program, and United States coastal housing market.

@HydroTracers Yes, we'll probably switch to this soon. This paper is more a commentary on issues with reinterpretation of the many past works using CVE.
New study w/ @SandeepPoudel_ and @RebsFE on the 10-year trend in coastal housing prices and its relationship to community perceptions of risk in areas impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

Do you use Bayesian end member mixing and water isotopes to study plant water uptake? Then you'd better take many plant samples to be sure your math assumptions are correct! New study with Kevin Li in Ecohydrology @EcohydrologyEds

@TetzlaffEcoHyd@merrinm In the US, the private job market is exceptional right now for environmental science & hydrology. Many prospective students I try to recruit are simply finding great opportunities in other arenas.

@CiaranJHarman I might be overthinking, but some of these seem like trick questions. Rating curves can be developed on mannings eqn. If you impose the right assumptions, the shallow water equations can be simplified to something that looks like mannings. So true and false?
.@UConnNRE researcher @JamesKnighton10's study "Phylogenetic Underpinning of Groundwater Use by Trees" was recently featured by @theAGU as an editor's highlight. Congratulations!

I'm getting 5+ requests to review per week lately. I'm only accepting 1 review per week. If you're submitting papers/proposals and not also reviewing, please accept one. I can't do them all. That is all. Goodbye to twitter for another 6 months.
