@FatherMcKennaa And then there is the novel drug area, where @Mindsetpharma is focused. Where and how can we make improvements on the known drugs in areas like duration, safety and predictability.
@FatherMcKennaa What drugs work best for which indications and is a more personalized model possible, ie do some drugs work better for different people with the same indications. Intuitively this makes sense but let’s try to understand this via science.
@MikeArnoldLaw @MindsetPharma 1014 and 1009 are definitely on the hallucinogenic side. It’s the newer non tryptamine families that show a very interesting and different profile!
@Serotonin2arec @semicorporate Agree re promise due to short duration and intensity / nature of experience. There’s just a lot less data on its use. Future of psychedelic medicine hopefully highly personalized and as such there will likely be a place for it / its analogs. But probably not for everyone.
@Serotonin2arec @semicorporate Great question and yes I do. TRD made sense as the entry point for clinical study, but the immediacy and (seemingly) low side effect profile will make psychedelics a natural frontline option for MDD
@Serotonin2arec @semicorporate the number of drug companies successfully commercializing drugs by themselves from discovery very small. Expertise at every stage of the drug development value chain impossible to recreate in a startup regardless of capitalization IMHO. Right partner is crucial.
@Serotonin2arec @semicorporate As great as the non-dilutive funding is, I’ll say what I’ve said in many different forums: getting access to world big pharma expertise in navigating drugs from lead identification through the regulatory process and beyond is an enormous advantage for Mindset
