Reginald Foster was an official Latinist of the Vatican who, among other things, invented Latin terms for modern phenomena, e.g. ‘assula minutula electrica’, ‘a tiny little amber wood chip’ for ‘microchip’ and ‘musica titubantium’, ‘the music of those who sway’ for ‘rock’n’roll’.

I found out yesterday that in 1956 my Dad saved the life of an 11yr old called David Hollis, who had near-drowned in a Croydon swimming pool. He’d be 74ish now, and went to Archbishop Tenison school. Would you RT and help me find him? Thank you x
