@WTA need to overhaul its draw rules ASAP.
Restrictions like these should be removed..
1) Only 1 Top 10 player is permitted to play in a WTA 250 draw (2nd allowed if defending champ) + limit of 3 WTA 250s in a year.
2) During weeks where a WTA 500 and a WTA 250 run at the same time, Top 30 players cannot enter the WTA 250 unless they receive a designated Play-Down Exemption (max 2 per player per year) reserved for:
The defending champion
A local/home-nation player
A player ranked 11–30.
3) Why are there byes for Top 4 seeds in some #WTA 500s? When it happens in a combined @ATPtour event that doesn't allow byes, it looks terrible from equality POV!
