I��m delighted and very excited to announce my “No Manifesto” exhibition will open next the 29th March at the Dylan Thomas Birthplace, 5 Cwmdonkin Drive, Uplands!
This project and exhibition celebrates Dylan Thomas and his contemporaries within the Kardomah Gang.

'Kennel in The Dark’
This image is inspired by Dylan Thomas’ poem, ‘The Hunchback in the Park’, which is based on his childhood memories from Cwmdonkin Park in Swansea next to the house where he grew up. The title was inspired by the line, ‘Kennel in the dark’.
'Young Thomas’
This image takes inspiration from the description of ‘Young Thomas’ in Thomas’ radio drama “Return Journey” where he returns to a Swansea destroyed after the blitz and tries to rediscover his younger self. The images combines different shots of Cwmdonkin Park.

This image takes inspiration from the description of “Like another darker snow” in Thomas radio drama “Return Journey” where Thomas returns to a Swansea destroyed after the blitz tried to rediscover his younger self.
Dylan Thomas Boathouse Montage
This image is a double exposure made up of an image taken from a view overlooking the Dylan Thomas Boathouse where he lived and regularly wrote and the Laugharne Landscape behind it. It incorporates a painting I did based of my original image.
‘And there I could marvel my birthday’
This image is inspired by the line ‘And there I could marvel my birthday’ from Dylan Thomas’ poem ‘A Poem in October’. This describes a walk up Sir Johns Hill in Laugharne on the poet’s birthday.
‘Dusk Folding around the park’
This image is inspired by the quote ‘dusk folding in around the park’ in Cwmdonkin Park from Dylan Thomas’ radio play ‘Return Journey’ which describes his return to the city of Swansea after it had experienced the blitz.
‘An Ugly, Lovely Town’
This image is inspired by Thomas’ iconic description of Swansea as ‘An Ugly, Lovely Town’. I took this image from the view of Swansea from Thomas’ parents bedroom in his childhood home at 5 Cwmdonkin Drive - the Dylan Thomas Birthplace @dylanthomashome
‘Figure Without Fault’
This image is inspired by Dylan Thomas’ poem, ‘The Hunchback in the Park’, which is based on his childhood memories and creative imagination from Cwmdonkin Park in Swansea . The quote this was inspired by was ‘Women figure without fault’.
'Ghost in the firelight'
This image is inspired by Dylan Thomas’ short story ‘Extraordinary Little Cough’ set in Rhossili on the Gower Coast. The image takes inspiration from a qoute from the story, ’Ghost in the firelight’, and combines shots overlooking Rhossili Bay.
'Birthday Walk'
This image is inspired by the ‘birthday walk’ which in turn inspired Dylan Thomas’ poem ‘A Poem in October’. This describes a walk up Sir Johns Hill in Laugharne on the poet’s birthday.

'Laugharne Landscapes’
This image combines a series of shots taken in Laugharne, where Dylan Thomas wrote his famous work, ‘Under Milk Wood’. It is shot through a specially made lens which is inscribed with letters taken from linens of his poems to create the textured effect.
