Some parts of the city are nicely designed for pedestrian and cycle movement, others definitely aren't. My record for waiting to cross the main road onto the Corniche was nine minutes for a green man.

The bus network is also comprehensive, comfortable and a good way to get around if you're not in a hurry. It's timetabling system however is nothing if not unreliable!
