@BillBishopKHOU Looks like the old Exxon building with the former Petroleum Club at the top. Building has been vacant for years. Still though, those were heavy winds today - hardest I recall feeling in downtown in some time.
Earlier today, @houmayor John Whitmire announced a comprehensive plan to end street homelessness and reclaim public spaces.
The City of Houston will be successful by providing pathways to permanent housing, ensuring public spaces remain safe and accessible, and addressing the root causes of homelessness, including mental illness. 🧵
@michaelschwab13 Assuming the money is right, there isn’t anyone one this list I wouldn’t welcome back but potentially in a different role - for example Maldonado will need to be in an Eddie Perez type role as the #2 catcher
@AstrosFansUK Twitter isn’t allowing DM’s but good meeting you - the best place to enter the downtown tunnels is at the McKinney Place Garage - go around the lunch hour to check it out - will generally be business folks scrambling for a quick meal or errand - enjoy HTX!
@texasreb126@DowntownHouston Haha I was just down there last week wondering if they had some new vendors lined up… hopefully so…. Downtown life is coming back (at least to a degree) it seems
@AstrosTalk Could have sworn that Caminiti homerun was to left center and then somehow came back onto the field so that no fan ended up with it - Eusebio hit one earlier that game that landed just feet from me
@DowntownHouston@texasreb126 I love this lobby and regularly visit it just to take in the feel of the “old days” of downtown - it’s gorgeous - hopefully it remains in use
