@PervisTaylor Yes I do. (I’m simplifying it) Request is put in. Official sales info/units supplied. Sent to auditor. Pay fee for each certification. Reviewed. Then if it has achieved the cert, RIAA release the official info. Artists/labels etc can do this at any time.

This is factually inaccurate. He states “formally revised and upgraded”. I asked him where he got the info, he showed a screenshot of a google AI summary. The only official US CERT is RIAA and the janet. album has not been certified diamond yet as of May 2026.
Just an FYI.

@MrVanGriffin There are so many that need to be formally certified. I always urge people to avoid saying “formally” certified and use terms like eligible UNTIL it is formal. Fingers crossed for more in 2026/7.
