@pearltiresias#CalfCreekFire has mostly been driven by prevailing winds towards the N, NE, E, and SE from point of ignition, and only a few miles W. It isn't impossible that it could head towards Santa Fe, but no indications thus far that it's likely...
@Bewickwren @Crossfire923 Agreed. An incredible team, sharing information in a comprehensible way, a process probably difficult to sustain. Great respect.
#nmfire#HermitsPeakFire#CalfCreekFire Screenshot from AM Briefing 4/28: fire broke out last night in Division W of Ledoux as per below. This looks to be the big fight in this area over the next two days...
Governor says 200 structures have been destroyed and another 900 homes are threatened by #CalfCanyonFire complex burning in northern #NM. She says residents need to be ready to leave at momentโs notice when evacuation orders given. #NMFire

Due to the high Gusty winds arriving all aircraft have returned to there bases, #CooksPeakFire 21,000 Acres, 0% containment, #CalfCanyonFire 3,000 acres, 0% containment, this is going to be a long day.
@Casual_Obs Sapello Canyon is quite narrow in that stretch - it has road access but hard to believe under these conditions that they can hold it there (or even try. Pendaries is less than a mile north...

#CalfCanyonFire screenshot from this morning's briefing. Headed NNE for the Sapello and beyond. Extreme fire weather today, extremely dangerous conditions for those fighting it... Everyone else should get as far away as possible.
