The Dodgers aren’t special, they aren’t “the best run organization in baseball” They have a special deal from MLB that enables them to financially cheat and spend nearly twice what any other team could
All of the breathless complimenting of the Dodgers completely ignores that the Dodgers are only able to spend like this because MLB gave them a special TV carveout after the McCourt Bankruptcy
They are the only 1 of 30 MLB teams that doesn’t have to fully share their TV revenue
They also happen to have the largest local TV contract
This is the only reason they can spend like they do
MLB created this entire situation and sees an opportunity to use it to finally try to get a cap
We don’t need a cap, all MLB needs to do is revoke this settlement and nationalize all TV Rights. Just stop giving the Dodgers the ability to cheat
Any team can be great when you have enough to spend that you can burn $110M/yr in salary and luxury tax on Kyle Tucker while he has the worst season of his career and not feel it.
They have Snell, Glasnow and half of their most expensive pitchers injured now for more of the season than they’ve been healthy and haven’t even noticed

He hated being called a quitter, Dana White piled on, so him and his dad crafted a plan to spin the narrative.
He had injections in both eyes for inflammation, then underwent laser vision correction (likely PRK) to address a pre-existing issue.
Next came the full-blown media gaslighting campaign by Ariel Helwani & company pushing a pity-party apology tour while ignoring the glaring inconsistencies.
The nail in the coffin? Claiming he couldn’t play with his kids or do footwork drills… while posting vlogs gallivanting around Italy juggling a soccer ball.
Multiple people in his orbit reportedly told him to drop the act, but his dad insisted they double and triple down because they felt “wronged.”
This likely ends with Aspinall being stripped of his belt & his team extremely bitter about it.

Aspinall was exposed badly here. How anybody watches this & not come to the conclusion he’s over exaggerating is beyond me.
He said he was having 2 different surgeries on 2 different eyes spread apart in late Dec/Jan. Now he had both surgeries at the same time Feb. There’s more
