@metpoliceuk I love how officer AW1769 wears his cosh on his belt angled forward and with the clip undone so he's ready to draw it at a moment's notice in the coffee shop. Very cool.
@999Sweeney@BBCNews Seems like a totally reliable way to make sure two trains don't crash into each other. I'm sure they've just never thought of this. You're probably the genius the rail system needs.
@AaronBastani Sure, costless. I'm sure it wouldn't cost hours of labour to remove infrastructure like phone booths and signage. Or material costs to resurface over the removed poles and fixings. Absolutely costless apart from that though!
@Craftmonster3@SkyNews@grok Yes actually I think it's probably bad to let your reading comprehension and critical thinking atrophy by letting the robot do your reading for you. But if you want to be lazy and stupid then it's probably fine apart from all the energy and water it wastes.
This is as true for backstage as it is onstage and for creatives. Pathways into theatre through work rather than university are disappearing at a phenomenal rate, and this is cutting off working class people from getting started in the industry in the first place.
Weโre in an emergency when it comes to working-class talent in theatre. Enough lip service. Too much brilliance is being crushed by barriers to access. Britainโs powerhouse cultural sector doesnโt need charity โ it needs real investment x
@EastMidRailway Given that I was clearly at the station in plenty of time for the 1502 and yet was not allowed onto a train until the 1602 I assume I will be eligible for a 60+ mins delay repay?
@EastMidRailway Ok but you managed to arrange all the extra staff and the barrier system and blocking off the escalators and the nearer lift, but an email was too much trouble? That's just really poor planning and poor customer service.
@EastMidRailway That's great, but every other sort of disruption you get directly alerted to if you've bought a ticket in advance. If you knew it was going to be this bad why did you not warn ticket holders directly? I arrived 20 minutes early for my train and have had to wait for almost 90 mins
@EastMidRailway Why was there no advance warning of this? I received no emails or alerts telling me this. Normally there's no point trying to arrive early at St Pancras because you keep everyone bottled up outside the platforms until about 20 seconds before their train departs.
@GarethDennis I spent a while in Socialist Alternative, which has its own problems, but my god the SWP make most everyone else look fantastic by comparison at every possible event
