New paper alter ๐จ๐ฐ and excited to say it is my first, first author publication! Check it out to learn how fish assemblages vary across design features of artificial reef habitat in restoration areas during early phases of temperate rocky-reef succession https://t.co/ldqPAe00oB
What an awesome presentation from Dakota Rygh our @NSF & @FIUCASE REU! He really immersed himself in field and lab work this summer and produced some awesome diet analyses on research and bluegill sunfish species! Weโre going to miss him but expect big things in the future!

Just me + the poster that endured 5 countries & 2 conferences in the past couple of weeks! Canโt wait for @icft2023 to talk about #snook movement responses during hurricanesโฆ.but until then you can find us at the beach! Big thanks to @FIUCASE@NSF@CRESTCAChE & other funders ๐
Wrapped up the #GRC on Movement Ecology and officially started my journey to the second conference of the trip! Heading to Sete France for the #ICFT just making a few pit stops along the way ๐
Excited for the GRC Movement Ecology power hour on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in science! A critical topic that extends well beyond the field. I think this format for DEI discussion is awesome and something that more conferences should implement
During our most recent sampling of @EvergladesNPS the MAP team caught an Asian Swamp Eel (monopterus albus) for only the 3rd ever. This non-native species is already wreaking havoc in marsh food webs and we could be seeing range expansions further into Shark River Slough
It was awesome to have our @NSF REU Dakota out in the field on day 1 of his 10 week summer program with @FIUCASE It seems like just yesterday I was doing my own REU with @USCWrigley and now Iโm a near peer mentor! Looking forward to a great summer!
Saw this gem of a sticker on a door at @um_rsmas today. Crazy to think that my undergrad research with @USCWrigley has lead to a PhD with @FIUEnvironment and collaborations with UM. I hope everything is well on Catalina and no one makes any unexpected trips to @CatHyperChamber
Huge shout out to my labmate @mackwhite1994. Heโs had a killer year! Student of the year and best poster for the @fcelter and his synthesis proposal was accepted for funding by @USLTER. Thanks for being an awesome friend and mentor! Keep crushing it dude
@awegalloway@alyssamina @MarineBioMeg @Dr_Yannis landscape of fear work that might be cool to check out! The halo effect picture would at least great in lectures
Had a great time with @Physacourses taking the Version Control for Researchers course (https://t.co/yi71UwzZLY). Learned a ton about GitHub & GitKraken version control! Shoutout to @LaurenKOlinger for being a great partner for the group exercises
The @VRG_Oxy is looking for a post-doc! Check out this job posting. They were instrumental in helping me during my MS and do some pretty amazing work.

Not often very political but as an academic at a Florida university I want to reaffirm my stance that diversity, equity, and inclusivity are pillars of good research and this legislation would be a direct threat to all fields. @FIU#JEDI ambassadors https://t.co/5NI24qv6yz
We had a great time visiting our collaborators in the @jnelsonPhD lab at @ULLafayette We delivered a ton of samples for the @fcelter Food Webs project. Canโt wait to get 3 years worth of stable isotope data back! Thanks for hosting us, sharing king cake, and a fun Cajun Friday!
