When I lived in Bristol I went to events at Colston Hall (slave trader), had lectures in the Merchant Venturers' building (slave traders) and graduated in Wills Memorial building (tobacco plantation owner).
@Puffles2010 It does seem there's an awful lot that school doesn't prepare you for. I suppose you could argue for continuing education alongside work, but I would imagine it could be tricky to balance that.
