Spent the past 24 hours on exercise with the UK's Special Operations Force - mostly comprised of Royal Marines and British Army Rangers.
This bit was particularly exciting.

Robust endorsement from ex-CGS Patrick Sanders:
“Ben fucked up. But none of that changes the fact that he was the most popular, respected, brave and operationally tested Naval Officers that I served with.”
“He may have lost his medals, but I’ll always admire and respect him.”

Visited the National Military Working Dogs Memorial in Holywell, North Wales today. It's well worth dropping in if you're ever passing on the A55. Really moving and beautiful sculptures.
I would like to thank all those emergency and specialist teams who have acted so swiftly regarding the incident in Gloucestershire.
We can be reassured that this is being dealt with, and it is exactly why our emergency response teams and Armed Forces are on standby 24/7.
Sadly, some soldiers lost all of their belongings in the fire. While the flames damaged a single wing of one SLAM block and completely burned through the roof, many floors and rooms were also damaged by water - a consequence of fighting the fire.
Update: the fire was contained to 4 or 5 rooms on the top floor of an accommodation block in Gaza Barracks - where the fire started.
Apx 200 personnel were impacted and are currently unable to return to their accommodation. They are being housed in other bases across Catterick.
Catterick Fire: 1 person in hospital, the base involved specifically is Gaza Barracks - home of the Light Dragoons
Video shared online shows fire taking hold in SLAM accomodation - "the block." I'm told troops impacted are being temporarily accommodated elsewhere in the garrison
