I rarely post. Just not that into it. But I do reply. I'm putting this up by myself rather than replying to another link. I'm seeing all the kind of vulgar comments (not you Evan) and I get it. If that's your thing, fine. I like to be vulgar too. But I think the reductivist point of view is misplaced here for a few reasons, not the least of which is banal objectification. What do we have on display? A uniquely beautiful woman exhibiting joy and freedom and comfort with her sexuality, and reveling in being uninhibited. That is all good. Do the jeans do that? OK, yeah, I guess. Men wouldn't know. Doesn't make her a hero but it does qualify for appreciation, not simplification. The ad and campaign is artful, tasteful, sensual, titilating without being erotic, and effective. It seems like they hit all the right notes. She sells the messaging very well. And they could definitely show this a couple of times in a row and we're not reaching for that remote. Don't reply if you don't want to. Just wanted to say something about it.
