@hilarym99 That would be great! Thats why I use rubrics. Kids see exactly what they need to do, what they missed, and what they got right. Also, sometimes I'll have them grade their work based on a checklist/ rubric. Or offer test corrections

Folks arguing about homework that kids don't even look at. I give detailed feedback w/ praise, next steps, and connected to the rubric. The kids look at me and throw it away. All kids want is to show you their work and told "if they're doing it right" b4 submission

I mean this sincerely: are there teachers out there individually correcting kids homework? Cause I’ll come out and say rn that I am not (nor could I) and my own kids HW never came home corrected. We go over it in class. Kids are responsible for checking it when we do.

@BrigadeCorona @JOesterblad @hilarym99 It depends if that is actually a teacher/student ratio. A lot of schools mean adult/student ratio. So teachers, paras, sped, mental health, deans, admin if they have a license. So it can be misleading

I don't do homework. But kids get feedback on EVERY written assignment whether its a highlighted rubric, praise, or next steps. They also get real time feedback IN CLASS. There's only so much feedback that can be given lol

1. What were you doing besides signing a check?
2. When work wasn't graded did you have a PTC?
3. If you're gunna send your kid to a struggling school, fine. But then why not fill in the missing pieces??
