Aerodynamic modelling of the 2018 FIFA World Cup ball (Adidas Telstar 18):
- Long kicks will be 9-10% shorter in distance than 2014 World Cup due to different aerodynamic properties of the ball.
- Knuckling effects are comparable.

Does anyone have a copy of Arutyunyan, G. A, Gurfinkel, V. S., & Mirskii, M. L. (1968). Investigation of aiming at a target. Biophysics, 13, 536-538?
I have a copy , but it's not in English, and it's a scanned image so I can't attempt Google translate. TIA
Great new work by Nunome, et al. (https://t.co/Qxl4udL3Xj)
Different task demands (50%, 75%, 100% effort soccer kicking) influenced leg swing and foot-ball impact. Interesting that, while only one task constraint was manipulated, multiple components of technique changed.
