Today the SEC notified the court that it “...does not intend to file an amended complaint...” and their deadline to do so has expired. The Court previously dismissed the SEC’s entire case. Richard Heart, PulseChain, PulseX, and HEX have defeated the SEC completely and have achieved regulatory clarity that nearly no other coins have. They're now safer to work with in ways that almost no other coins are. The SEC walked away from some other cryptocurrency cases voluntarily, but this is the only case where the SEC lost and crypto won across the board, with a dismissal in court of every single claim the SEC brought.
This is a victory for open-source software, cryptocurrency, and free speech. The SEC actually sued software code itself in this case, claiming it could be an alter ego of a person. This would have set a terrible precedent and caused perhaps multiple billions of dollars of damage to the vital open source and free software industry that powers most of the Internet and your speech on it.
HEX has technological advantages over #Bitcoin.
1. It's never had an inflation bug.
2. It's likely to be more secure forever, as its consensus supply code is an audited safe inside the EVM safe. Bitcoin has no audits, and its consensus supply code isn't locked in a safe. Which may be why it's had more than one inflation bug.
3. It doesn't burn up the environment to mint new coins.
4. It is more affordable to credit other addresses with (people often call this "sending.") 136 times more affordable at this moment, if you are running it on the PulseChain network.
5. HEX uses a unique proof of wait system for inflation, hybridized with proof of stake for logging the inflation, whereas the SHA256 proof of work system Bitcoin uses is rather beat to death across numerous projects.
6. HEX is more decentralized than Bitcoin. To mint new BTC you must beg one of a few companies to sell you their Bitcoin ASIC miners, and in a timely manner, or you can't mine. Then you have to maintain them with connectivity, electricity and cooling. Minting HEX requires none of the begging, or that centralization.
7. HEX is more friendly to price things in, as it has more units, no one likes paying fractions of BTC for things. Millibits never took off. If it had, they’re still around $30 each.
Details on those Bitcoin bugs: Bitcoin had 2 inflation bugs where anyone was able to mint as many new coins as they wanted. The CVE-2010-5139 bug was announced on 2010-8-15 minted 184 billion BTC and required a chain roll back. The CVE-2018-17144 bug was announced on 2018-09-17 and was discovered by a BitcoinCash developer, who disclosed it instead of exploiting it. HEX solves this by locking its economics code in an immutable smart contract, so network improvements and their possibility of bugs are kept far from the most important code. The last Bitcoin "unlimited free coins" inflation bug was created by adding an optimization to the networking stack.
Some people really are in blockchain for the tech. HEX is great tech. Flawlessly functioning for 3.69 years now, while so many other things failed.
It’s a good thing writing software is speech, and a protected human right, or else we might never make technological progress. I wouldn’t want to live in a world where the people who can build a better future are scared to do it. If you’re not building free and open-source software, consider giving great thanks to those that do, because the Internet we all use and love is built and maintained by those rare, selfless souls. THANKS DEVS.
HEX launched in Dec 2019, during a bear market, MAX FUD, MAX Pain, -85% at launch.
The BTC halving was 5 months later, when $HEX really started it’s run,
PulseChain launched 1 month ago, the next BTC halving is in 10 months,
40 odd weeks to shake out the weak hands 😊
Americans can pay 0% tax. The USA passed a law allowing it (involves Puerto Rico (An American territory since 1898)). Read about it: https://t.co/lP3TzWOOho. Non USA people have it even easier. Singapore and Dubai have are absorbing thousands of millionaires yearly with 0% cap gains.
I'm not an accountant, or lawyer, or professional of any sort. If you do what thousands of millionaires are doing, you might reap the rewards they're reaping.
Apparently Belgium, Belize, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Monaco, Cayman Islands, and maybe Switzerland also have 0%. Picking one and running with it may be better than analysis paralysis. You could always just switch later.
This would help get the living prices down where you were living too! Doing your part to help out your fellow man. Capitalism is a fan of rewarding where you're treated well, and not rewarding where you are treated poorly. Give nations an incentive to do their best. Competition breeds success.
What are all the things you love about #cryptocurrency? Here's some. Your bank has worse hours, makes you beg for your money, if you're pulled over with lots of cash the cops will just take it from you and you will not get it back (civil asset forfeiture.)
If you live in a country with currency controls like Argentina where they make you use a currency that goes down in value half each year, and they make you pretend it's not actually going down.
You can track the ownership of many things that aren't currencies like art, designer goods, even houses. It helps prevent crime because it actually leaves a permanent public record of everything that was done, which is something cash doesn't do.
It reduces the costs to send people money, and can remove the 1.5% tax on basically all retail commerce that visa and mastercard have over the world. It's also the best performing asset class of al time. What did I miss?
I bought the #Bitcoin top in 2011. $30. It went right down to $2. I held. It worked out. Think of all the poor souls that sold it all the way down. A life time of regret for them. It took ~10 years for $BTC to go up 666x from my entry to $20,000. Ten years. A decade. Dips galore.
