@KSUWindbreaker Injuction was against the NCAA. Not the Big 12. The league may not be able to stop Sorsby but they can legally punish Tech under league bylaws that Tech agreed to and signed
@achristovichh He did not charge the Big 12 in his suit. Big 12 may not be able to stop him from playing but they have the right to punish Tech. There is no court order against the league. Tech would have to sue the conference
@achristovichh What lawful order? The judges ruling doesn't even mention the league. Suit was sorsby as NCAA.
CFP will never allow Tech to play in Playoff. They are not even part of the NCAA
@CFB_Signals Since Sorsby gambled while underage that would mean FBI could still arrest and charge him. Also Draft Kings allowed underage gambling and who knows what they would do to avoid being involved
@jlkurtz One state suing every other state in the conference would then be a federal issue and a magistrate judges decision which did not even mention the league would be void. And no way would any federal ruling happen by end of season
@bmarcello Tech and lawsuit is against NCAA. Big 12 was not involved in the case and would not be forced to abide by any ruling that a local Texas judge made. Bylaws signed by each school in different states would then be a federal issue
@bmarcello League bylaws are in place for this reason. Attorney General can threaten all he wants but no court is going to decide any case before season is over. League decision would be valid until after season. Also their are other AGs in each state that could threaten suit as well
