@OMGTheMess@sarlils23 Except the government doesn’t just to do it. Have a look into it. Theres a lot of accounting rules, commerciality and other factors that need to satisfied and also third parties verify. It’s not up to the government as you suggest. They can’t just do it.
@OMGTheMess That's actually not the reason. It isn't because of coal. Go read the information kit that was put out on this today by the Regulator. Prices would have actually been lower, except for coal and other fossil fuels.
@OMGTheMess Grandfathered if you're already receiving welfare as a permanent resident. But if you're say a permanent resident of 30 years from the UK, and not currently receiving welfare, but then need to access it, you wont be able to get it.
@Michael00486077@lesstenny No one is crying. Labor is on 94 seats and given the split in the vote on the right will probably be up over 100 seats next eleciton.
Looks like we are going to have to agree to disagree. For the record, there was widespread support for Israel and IDF to destroy Hamas - as they absolutely should. And I still believe there’s unfinished business there. Hamas are a horrific terrorsit organisation who are a threat to both Israelis and Palestinians alike. However, this wasn’t a blank cheque for the Israeli government to do what they’re done. Governments in all countries, including Israel, can and should be held to account. This isn’t racist. My view is that the current Osraeli government is barbaric and despicable, and many people of Jewish faith agree as evidenced by protests in Israel over the last 2.5 years and criticism of Jewish based organisations of the Israeli government. Respect your view on, but my only real issue is people trying to equate criticism of the Israeli government as anti semitic when it isn’t.
You're being hysterial. I need not do anything of the sort and it's ridiculous and the height of stupidity to clarify my criticisms each and every time by mentioning 7 Oct. Get a grip. Also the vilification is not with the Israeli people. It is with the despicable Israeli government. The two things are different.
If you go back and read my post, the reason I wrote that was in direct response from the OP. So before you make unfounded and ridiculous accusations, look at the context. As you can see I am strong believer in the state of Israel, while being strongly against the current Israeli regime.
They are zero chance and will be lucky to win even one seat. Reasons for that are:
- they split the vote on the Right
- in seats where they are most likely, they are almost exclusively seats currently held by the Nats and Libs.
- in those seats, both the Lib, Nats and Labor will preference ON last.
- so if they are preferenced last, it’s going to be very hard for ON to get to 50%. Sure theyll always get some percentage of the preferences from voters but they will struggle to get more than a handful of seats.
@AngusSmall7490@Ausbobsmit You’re a Qanon nut. You should be locked up for all of our safety. The budget surpluses are fact, even if your small Pygmy brain can’t accept them. Move along you mental case.
Try again, you’re delusional. How about the six budgets before Covid and Ukraine that the Libs and Nats delivered between 2013 and 2019. Massive deficits, adding to Australian debt, every year.
So now you’ve run out of lies on how Labor had delivered surpluses, you’re urging them to spend more on pensions? Wow.
Again you're wrong. It wasn't good luck they made decisions which contributed to the first surplus, like cutting some Morrison government spending.
Secondly, the Future Fund changes and inclusions in Budget were made in 2020/21 when the Libs and Nats were in government and there were good reasons for that.
Here's the direct extract from the Budget Paper:
Under the Future Fund Act 2006, earnings are required to be reinvested to meet the Government’s future public sector superannuation liabilities.
The Government excluded net Future Fund cash earnings from the calculation of the underlying cash balance between 2005–06 and 2019–20.
From 2020–21 onwards, net Future Fund cash earnings have been included in the calculation of the underlying cash balance because the Future Fund became available to meet the Government’s superannuation liabilities from this year.
@Lacertosus_7766@DrDavidAdler1 So you’re saying a professional is unable to do their job because of the views of someone in their family? What rubbish. Get a grip on reality.
@BagGlamour@DrDavidAdler1 That’s a bs and weak arguement. So I’m absemce of any proof that this person can’t do their job property you propose they are removed on suspicion. You’re nuts.
A few things:
1. I never mentioned the Jewish Council of Australia.
2. You claim the Jewish Council of Australia does not support the right of Israel to exist - can you verify this with a reference/s? I don't see anything of the sort, however accept I may have missed something and welcome you filling in the gap.
3. What the Jewish Council of Australia has published however is that they are anti the current Israelo Govt. That is not the same as not supporting the right of Israel to exist.
4. My original points stand. Most fair minded Australians (and backed by polls) support Israel's right to exist, however detest and oppose the current Israelo regime for their actions.
