@Phantomantle Shocker of a first half mate. Taking the Jackson thing out, we’ve turned up like it’s a friendly today. Been dominated in every department. Poor
#CFC a mess. No threat, belief, precision or goal threat without Palmer. Pochettino will get more stick from the fans but he’s not the real problem. Recruitment is, squad balance is, character is. Club leadership is. Team taken apart by a vastly superior #AFC. #ARSCHE
@Phantomantle Agree though regarding Poch. Some point we have to break the cycle of sacking managers and look for solutions. I fear we have more turmoil to come with FFP. Going to be an interesting rest of the year for the club
@Phantomantle It’s not even about the squad being ready… it’s the imbalance and total lack of strategy. I have no idea what we are trying to do on the pitch. Recruitment has been terrible. Owners are a shambles that have created this absolute mess
There isn’t a manager capable of turning this around. This group of players simply isn’t good enough. I mean get rid of him by all means because he’s not a winner and that’s fine, but neither are about 85% of the squad.
We will (inevitably) go on and sack Poch, 5 managers in 2 seasons. If anything, just reinforces my previous point about how clueless the ownership at the club is. THEY chose Poch, as they did with Potter etc. The failure is on them and their recruitment. #CFC
What is @Chelsea's biggest problem? I believe it is the policy from the ownership & terrible recruitment by the sporting department. Maybe Palmer is worth £50m now (& that's a big maybe) but no other player is. Chelsea is a club destroyed by hierarchical football ignorance
A change of manager would be an admission that those that hired him were wrong, which we've not had yet, so don't expect that to happen, right or wrong. The persistence with a series of signings that haven't been good enough so far either suggests Trust The Process™ continues.
You can change the manager, the players, the tactics, sign 75 more South Americans for the future, anything you want, but the malaise that has not just set in but taken over is a cultural shift to a cold, transactional business, not a football club with heritage and community.
Very easy right now to blame the manager and players but for me, it’s simple to see where the problem is. 2 HORRIBLE transfer windows with an ownership that has no clue. No strategy, no direction. This won’t be a quick fix. Total shambles #cfc
@todd_boehly amongst many other disastrous decisions being made at the football club, how on earth have you not addressed the issues with our medical and conditioning department. It’s clear there are massive problems. Total disgrace #CFC
@gusmears1905 I do worry what is to come. I think it’s safe to say, since Boely has come in, the dealings internally and externally have been nothing short of a disgrace. Shambles top to bottom
@Phantomantle Doesn’t help when the guy who picks the team gets sacked, but still picks the team… collaborated?! I maintain our club is a shambles from the top to bottom
@Phantomantle I wish I had your optimism. We have been struggling before Potter came in. Some of our signings for this project are extremely questionable (many were without a technical director). I don’t see what we are trying to do, nor what our identity is
