@SportPsychTips Patrick Willis said, “You cannot cheat the grind, for the grind knows what you put in.”
There are no shortcuts to success.
• It takes sacrifice.
• It takes resilience.
• It takes hard work.
It means show up and do the work.

It has been nearly twenty years since a defending champion was knocked out in the second round of the NCAA Tournament—going back to the 2007 NCAA Tournament, when Armintie Herrington took over and led No. 7 seed Ole Miss past Maryland with 28 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals.
And that was just the start of something special.
In the Sweet 16, she was even better—31 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals, all without a single turnover—leading Ole Miss past No. 3 seed Oklahoma and into its only Elite Eight appearance of the century. To this day, she’s still the only player to ever put up a 30-10-5-5-0 game in the NCAA Tournament.
She followed that with 30 more points in the Elite Eight, as the Rebels’ run came to an end against eventual champion Tennessee.
Across that stretch, the Myrtle native averaged (27.5) points, (7.0) rebounds, (4.5) assists, and (3.3) steals—carrying a team with no other All-Americans or future WNBA players to a run that still feels hard to put into words. 🪄
The @UTDBaseball Comets just recorded their third straight home sweep and are a perfect 11-0 at home.
What an impressive start to the season at 22-8, as UT Dallas will at minimum be tied for 1st place in their first season in the Lone Star Conference after today.
