With a heavy heart, we share the passing of our love, a great man, Matthew Martin. He passed on Wed, Sept 25th, of natural causes.
He was a wonderful partner, father, Papa, son, brother, boss, colleague and friend. Matt enjoyed life, had a passion of learning, wanted to travel to see and experience new places and people. Matt always had a zest for knowledge. He would immerse himself into anything he found fascinating and enjoyed sharing all he learned with his close family and friends.
Matt was always a help, a friend, a support to anyone who needed him. He could often be found helping another with any problem or troubleshooting a tough situation for those in need. Matt had a passion for life and innovation. Always working on things, improving and enhancing at every opportunity. His main passion was for his family and close friends. He cherished time and experience with those closest to him. He was gone much too soon and will be forever cherished and remembered by all who knew him.

The family would love to read any stories or pictures anyone would like to share on his tribute wall on the obituary site. His family is spread out across the US so this is a way we can all share and view the wonderful way Matt touched all our lives. Thank you.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the extraordinary outbursts of the President of the United States against female journalists... well, actually against journalists in general and journalism. But it feels like he saves his most childlike behavior and irrational language for female reporters, calling them all kinds of names that kids in kindergarten are given times out for. Every good man should denounce this behavior. Every person should be able to stand up for their colleagues and say “No more.”
