The third movie was Gnomeo & Juliet (2011) has at least two females with names (Juliet and Nanette) who have one conversation about a flower Juliet wants thats in a different backyard. Nanette helps her find a disguise so Juliet can go get her flower. #mcom30
For one assignment I had to watch 3 movies to see if they passed the Bechdel test. In order to pass this test, the movie must have these following things #mcom30 :
The second movie I watched was Monster House(2006) which also passed the Bechdel test. This one was tricky but had two female characters (Jenny and Zee) who discuss business and selling candy for a prep school. This is the only conversation the two females have though, but passes
@savmc23 I love this idea! I knew a year or two ago they started making barbies of different shapes, sizes, and races to try to break the stereotypes of girls expecting to look like barbies #mcom30
@EmmaAndres7 This sounds like an interesting topic because blondes are usually stereotyped as not being intellectual. I’m curious what research you’ll dig up #mcom30
I’m still deciding about what to write for my lit analysis assignment but I’m leaning towards how binge watching tv shows effects the mental stability of civilians #mcom30
So to be honest I haven’t really decided on a topic for representational analysis, but I’ve been leaning towards how the video game The Last Of Us tries to break stereotypical roles through a strong female lead #mcom30
@jo711373 I love how females are trying to break stereotypical roles. And there’s always something for women for prove. It’s refreshing proving those wrong who think women are supposed to be weak or not athletic
@JuneEmmalee I’ve also noticed that women are taking a stand when it comes to what they do with their hair. For instance, Insta models are now modeling with their armpit hair grown out or unshaved legs #mcom30
