@MaxzZzeroOo I love how creative they’ve gotten with devices to assist patients. I can imagine it’s dehumanizing to need help from other people all the time with daily needs, so to give quadriplegic patients the opportunity to complete tasks, like eating, on their own is so important.
#EXS3030 This clip shows Amanda, who uses multiple forms of therapy and assistive technology to rehabilitate after her spinal cord injury. https://t.co/J7UJJO2cml
@dillonreno2 It’s so inspiring when she says “it took away my life, but I have to make a new one.” With this comment, she accepts the diagnosis and acknowledges the negative aspects, but doesn’t let them stop her from living her life. Instead she uses this as an opportunity for a new one.
@docgoble The motor cortex is used 0:22 into the video when St. Brown has to decide to extend his legs to toe-tap in the end zone before falling out of bounds.
@docgoble The visual sensory system is used 0:05 into the clip when Jon Rahm has to use his sight to see how thick the grass is around the ball so he can determine how hard he needs to hit the ball in order to make it out of the grass back into the green.
@mariajmurguia This video made me realize how an EMG can be used to enhance athletes’ performances. They can use an EMG to make sure they’re activating the right muscles in their technique, while also detecting over time the improvements of their strength or even imbalances. Thanks for sharing!
@TylerPenick2 This is so impressive! It’s so cool that he seems to be at least three steps ahead at all times. It’s amazing that the human brain can anticipate what’s going to happen next, and still stay in the present moment.
I’m taking #EXS3030@oaklanduSHS with @DocGoble because I would like to find a new direction with my EXS degree. I was originally pursuing physical therapy, but have since changed my mind. I am hoping I can find my passion again and develop confidence for a new path in EXS.
