Just a reminder that flowers and gift cards are nice, but one of the best ways to celebrate #MilitarySpouseAppreciationDay is to support initiatives and policies that empower #Militaryspouses.
Thanks to @BoeingWA’s generosity, at least 100 transitioning service members, veterans and military spouses in Washington state will secure rewarding employment in 2022. #BoeingInspires#BoeingPartner#HireHeroes

@ChelseaMDO1@GeorginaAdlam @AndrewR_Physics I always respond to that with, every generation criticizes the one after it and says “kids today.” Serious eye roll.
@mike_sell Right, because it’s been 16-17 years since I’ve been in your class so of course your kids are old enough for college. 🤦🏻♀️ best of luck to him and hoping for good conversations and nice visits during semester breaks.
@rebecca_alwine Knock on wood. My youngest started pre-k, and then we went virtual because covid. But yes, I had just applied to start a second masters.
@CautionaryTale9 He doesn't know many families. I moved to remote teaching & contract work so that I could "balance" work & household. Would be fun to see us afford a nanny on my spouse's E8 salary/my pay, & we are better off than most. Know they weren't his audience, but what would he tell ENL?
Fellas. I mean, really now. How can you have the confidence of a Special Forces Colonel who has a two hour barricaded stand off with the cops after allegedly beating his wife, knowing that the Army officer good old boy network won't do a thing to you?

@SNAFU_Sara Planning on sending them. I sent them back in TX at what was the worst time (then) after virtual schooling for half the year. Our school is requiring masks, and I’m still anxious.
Favorite part of returning to an installation: having housing claim the attics aren't meant for storage & residents can't use them, but knowing a resident stupidly walked through a part of the attic that only had insulation and wasn't finished. They were meant for storage before.
@rebecca_alwine@AMBRabe@AirmantoMom @CautionaryTale9 I’ve heard too many times still “if the army wanted your husband to have a spouse…” and the longer it’s gone, the more it’s expected that spouses have it together. Y’all ever need someone to send dinner, PM me. I can order dinner from afar like a champ.
